Unity Residential Care is a specialist residential service for children with Emotional Behavioural Disorder (EBD).
We believe in making a real difference in the lives of young people with Emotional Behavioural Disorders. At our care homes we are here for the whole child, not just their physical needs. We strive to set out a positive vision for every child we support, encouraging them to think about what they want from life. We also endeavour to be an integral part of each family’s support network, offering them reassurance and helping them make sense of what is happening to their children.
Our programmes are designed to optimise well-being and health from the inside of a child out. We do this by helping our children and young people:
- Getting regular exercise, eating a balanced diet promoting good physical & mental health
- Make time to do the things you enjoy, taking part in local activities
- Providing a nurturing environment that makes our children feel loved, trusted, understood, valued and safe
- Create an environment that allows children who may have lived a difficult life easily become interested in life.
- Providing the tools required to learn more, get a career and make an impact.
- Help recognising their strengths and interests and encourage them to get involved in what they’re passionate about
